Recap: Memorial Chargers vs. Edison Eagles
The Memorial Chargers won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Saturday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 51-29 walloping at the hands of Edison. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Memorial has scored all season.
Several Chargers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Antonio Love, who scored four points. Jaden Johnson was another key contributor, scoring three points along with six rebounds.
Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Edison, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.
Memorial and Will Rogers College will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Will Rogers College will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 214th, while Memorial is ranked 61st). As for Edison, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against McAlester at 8:00 p.m. McAlester is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.
