Vista del Lago waltzed into their game on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They took down the Woodcreek Timberwolves 25-6. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 38-0 victory the Timberwolves walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Vista del Lago didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off six passes before the game was over. Cadyn Nettleton led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself. Taylor Peyrucain is also on a roll when it comes to defended passes, as she's now defended at least one in each of the last ten games she's played.

Vista del Lago's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Woodcreek, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.

Vista del Lago and Woodcreek should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Eagles will square off against Folsom at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (106 vs. 563). Meanwhile, Woodcreek (ranked 98th) will meet Inderkum (ranked 270th) at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
