Senior guard led Century to a 23-4 record, Class A state championship game.

Each year since 2006, MaxPreps has recognized outstanding performers in high school girls basketball. America's source for high school sports continues the tradition to close out the 2022-23 season by naming the top player in each state. Selections are based on team success and individual excellence in addition to local and state accolades.

For the second straight season, Logan Nissley of Century (Bismarck) is the 2022-23 MaxPreps North Dakota High School Girls Basketball Player of the Year. The 6-foot senior guard led the Patriots to a 23-4 record and the Class A state championship game.

For the season, Nissley averaged 20.8 points, 7.4 rebounds, 3.9 steals and 2.5 assists per game. She finished her high school career with 1,664 points.

Headed to Nebraska next year, Nissley is not only the two-time MaxPreps North Dakota Player of the Year in basketball but also earned the same honor in volleyball.
