Waverly put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They snuck past the Susquehanna Valley Sabers with a 53-48 win. This was payback for the Wolverines, who suffered a 66-40 loss the last time these two teams met.

Waverly pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for Susquehanna Valley, the defeat snapped their winning streak at eight games and leaves them with a 8-1 record.

Waverly and Susquehanna Valley should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps New York Rankings. Waverly will square off against Owego Free Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Monday up 350 places (58 vs. 408).
