Football Game Preview: Mize Bulldogs vs. Heidelberg Oilers + Official Tickets

The Mize Bulldogs will venture away from home to take on the Heidelberg Oilers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mize is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

Mize is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They took down East Marion 24-6.

Meanwhile, Heidelberg took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 64-14 victory over Clarkdale. The Oilers haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Mize better keep an eye on Chase Craft. He was instrumental in Heidelberg's win, rushing for 171 yards and three TDs on only 15 carries, while also throwing for 148 yards and three touchdowns on only ten passes. Craft has been hot, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last five times he's played. Kaden Porter was another key player, rushing for 105 yards and one score on only 13 carries.

Heidelberg was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 380 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

One reason for the win was Heidelberg's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Madaylan Mckenzie refused to say out of the backfield, picking up three sacks all by himself. Another thorn in Clarkdale's side was Mckenzie, who picked up three sacks, made five total tackles (4.0 for loss), and defended one pass.

Mize now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Heidelberg, their record is now 11-2.

Mize took a serious blow against Heidelberg in their previous matchup back in October, falling 50-0. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
