Escondido Charter waltzed into their match on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Calipatria Hornets. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tigers have posted since September 5th.

Leading Escondido Charter to victory were ALAINA CASTRONOVO and SIERRA MATTERS. CASTRONOVO had nine digs and three aces, while MATTERS had seven assists and four aces. That's the most aces MATTERS has posted over her last seven games.

They weren't the only good server: Escondido Charter was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in nine consecutive contests.

Escondido Charter's victory bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Calipatria, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-7.
