Soccer Recap: Strathmore Takes a Loss

After flying high against Wonderful College Prep Academy on Saturday, Strathmore came back down to earth. The Spartans fell just short of the East Bakersfield Blades by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. If Strathmore were looking for revenge after losing 1-0 to East Bakersfield when the teams met back in December of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Xavier Martinez and Diego Garcia scored both of Strathmore's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Strathmore's loss dropped their record down to 5-2-1. As for East Bakersfield, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1-1.

Looking ahead, Strathmore will take on Exeter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Bakersfield, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Frontier on the 6th.
