After having lost a blowout in their previous game against North Myrtle Beach, Loris was happy to have turned things around on Friday. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Loris Lions who were credited with the victory. The Loris Lions got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Aynor Blue Jackets's three. The game was the first time the Lions have beaten the Blue Jackets on their pitch since March 22, 2022.

Loris' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Aynor, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Loris will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Georgetown at 7:30 p.m. Loris' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for Aynor, they will challenge Waccamaw at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Waccamaw is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.7 goals per game this season.
