Community Leadership Academy turns things around after tough road loss

There's no place like home for the Community Leadership Academy Lions, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Wednesday. They pulled ahead with a 47-46 photo finish over Taylor County.

When it comes to explaining why Taylor County lost on Saturday, one person who can't be blamed is Jakari Jackson. Despite the final result, he scored 18 points along with six assists and three steals. That's the first time this season that Jackson scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Allen Collier, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds.

Community Leadership Academy's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-8. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Taylor County, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Community Leadership Academy will take on Jefferson County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jefferson County is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak. As for Taylor County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Community Leadership Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
