Softball Recap: Franklin's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hillsborough, Franklin was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over the Warren Hills Regional Blue Streaks. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 15-1 on April 7th.

C Gomez was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was V Gabryszewski, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.

Franklin was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Warren Hills Regional only posted a batting average of .238.

Franklin's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-7. As for Warren Hills Regional, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-7-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklin will welcome Manville at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Warren Hills Regional, they will be playing at home against Montville at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
