Baseball Recap: Copiah Academy Takes a Loss

Copiah Academy fell victim to Bowling Green and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Buccaneers. The Colonels were not able to make up for their loss to the Buccaneers from their previous meeting back in February of 2025.

Copiah Academy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Albright, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one double. That double was Albright's first of the season.

Copiah Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Bowling Green, they pushed their record up to 4-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Copiah Academy will head out on the road to challenge Simpson Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Colonels are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Bowling Green, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Christian Home Educators Fellowship at 6:00 p.m. on March 9.
