Softball Game Preview: McKinney Boyd Broncos vs. Lake Creek Lions

The McKinney Boyd Broncos will take on the Lake Creek Lions in a tournament on Thursday.

McKinney Boyd unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against Plano West on Tuesday, falling 13-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Broncos have suffered against the Wolves since April 1, 2016.

Leah Teague made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Beckham Manley was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Lake Creek challenged Conroe on Monday. Everything went Lake Creek's way against Conroe as Lake Creek made off with a 9-2 win. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
