Softball Game Preview: Eau Gallie Commodores vs. Jupiter Warriors

The Eau Gallie Commodores will take on the Jupiter Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Eau Gallie's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Palm Bay as they made off with a 20-0 victory. The Commodores' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Hope Rodriguez made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March of 2025. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two RBI. Those RBI marked the first that she has brought in this season.

In other batting news, Kali McMillan was incredible, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Evie Martin, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Eau Gallie was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .857. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in six consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jupiter). They blew past Boca Raton 14-4 on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won six in a row.

Eau Gallie's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Jupiter, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.
