Softball Recap: Page Beats Rossview for Their Second Straight Win

Page won against Dobyns-Bennett on Wednesday with five runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Patriots beat the Rossview Hawks by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 5-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.

Ashley Johnson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on eight hits.

At the plate, MacKenzie Smith was incredible, firing off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April.

Page's victory bumped their record up to 23-6. As for Rossview, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-12.

Looking ahead, Page will square off against Walker Valley at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs are coming into the game with four straight wins on the road, so the Patriots will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. Rossview does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
