Basketball Recap: Northwest Halifax Falls Short of Wilson Prep in the Playoffs

Northwest Halifax and Wilson Prep squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Northwest Halifax had to settle for second. They lost 93-70 to the Wilson Prep Tigers. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Monday (61), the Vikings still had to take the loss.

Northwest Halifax dropped their record down to 11-15 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.0 points over those games. As for Wilson Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

Northwest Halifax does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wilson Prep, they will face off against Chatham Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wilson Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 15 contests -- so hopefully Chatham Central likes a good challenge.
