Softball Recap: Ludlow Comes Up Short

After soaring to 14 runs the game before, Ludlow was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They came up short against the Dixie Heights Colonels, falling 18-2. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Colonels: they've now lost nine in a row.

Ludlow saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shelby Ralston, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one double.

Ludlow's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Dixie Heights, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-8.

Coming up, Ludlow will be playing at home against Dayton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers are facing the Greendevils at the right time seeing as the Greendevils are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Dixie Heights, they are taking a road trip to face off against St. Henry at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
