Massaponax and Stafford are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

Massaponax fell victim to North Stafford and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 10-0 to the Wolverines, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Meanwhile, Stafford suffered their closest defeat since April 14th on Friday. They fell just short of Riverbend by a score of 9-7.

Angela Dreistadt spent all 11 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned runs on 15 hits and racked up ten Ks.

At the plate, Emily Stone was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Another player making a difference was Claire Hall, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Massaponax's loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Stafford, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.

Massaponax suffered a grim 11-3 defeat to Stafford when the teams last played back in April. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
