Baseball Recap: Ferris Takes a Loss

Ferris lost against Ranchview back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Ferris Yellowjackets fell just short of the Ranchview Wolves by a score of 5-3.

Ferris saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ayden Garza, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. The dominant performance gave Garza a new career-high in RBI. Ayden McCrory-Smith also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Ferris now has a losing record of 3-4-3. As for Ranchview, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Coming up, Ferris will venture away from home to challenge Castleberry at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The last five games Ferris has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Ranchview, they will challenge South Hills at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
