Football Recap: New Richmond Takes a Loss

New Richmond lost against Clinton-Massie back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lions came up short against the Falcons, falling 47-21. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 375th, while the Falcons are ranked 94th).

This is the second loss in a row for New Richmond and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for Clinton-Massie, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Richmond will host Goshen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will need to watch out since the Warriors have now posted at least 31 points in their last four matchups. As for Clinton-Massie, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Western Brown at 7:00 p.m. on October 17.
