Baseball Recap: Austin-East Takes a Loss

Austin-East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 22nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Pigeon Forge Tigers, falling 18-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 on Tuesday.

Austin-East's loss dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Pigeon Forge, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Austin-East will venture away from home to square off against Tyner Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Pigeon Forge, they will face off against Maryville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
