Basketball Recap: St. John Falls Short of Hillsdale in the Playoffs

St. John and Hillsdale squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but St. John had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the Hillsdale Falcons and fell 73-46. While losing is never fun, the Fighting Herald can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 640th, while the Falcons are ranked 249th).

St. John's loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Hillsdale, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

St. John does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hillsdale, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 73-54 win against Heartland Christian on the 1st.
