Basketball Recap: Franklin Classical School Takes a Loss

Franklin Classical School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Lancaster Christian Academy Knights, falling 64-43. While losing is never fun, Franklin Classical School can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 249th, while Lancaster Christian Academy is ranked 62nd).

Josh Whitt continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Lancaster Christian Academy, going 8 for 13 on his way to 22 points in addition to six boards and five steals. The contest was Whitt's 14th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Bragg, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 14 points and three steals.

Franklin Classical School's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Lancaster Christian Academy, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.

Franklin Classical School will welcome Riverside Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lancaster Christian Academy, they will venture away from home to take on Glencliff at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lancaster Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten matchups -- so hopefully Glencliff likes a good challenge.
