Softball Recap: China Spring Cougars vs. Little River Academy Bumblebees
China Spring won against West on Saturday with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. The China Spring Cougars narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Little River Academy Bumblebees 6-4. While the Cougars didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-21-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
China Spring let Sophia Garcia and Jaelynn Faulkner run wild. Garcia scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Faulkner went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and two RBI. That's the most RBI Faulkner has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Jamerson, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.
