Pinnacle has gone 8-2 against Liberty recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Pinnacle Pioneers will look to defend their home pitch against the Liberty Lions at 6:00 p.m. Pinnacle will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Pinnacle is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Arizona's top teams: Brophy College Prep, who was ranked 14th at the time (Pinnacle was ranked first). Pinnacle's defense stepped up to hand Brophy College Prep a 1-0 shutout on Wednesday. That's two games straight that the Pioneers have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, it may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Liberty ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They walked away with a 5-3 victory over Boulder Creek. Kyen Wallace was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Pinnacle pushed their record up to 16-1-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 26 goals over those seven matches. As for Liberty, their victory bumped their record up to 14-5.

Pinnacle was able to grind out a solid win over Liberty when the teams last played back in December of 2024, winning 2-0. Will Pinnacle repeat their success, or does Liberty have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
