The Winter Park Wildcats will head out on the road to take on the Lakeland Christian Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Winter Park will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
On Friday, Winter Park needed a bit of extra time to put away Bishop Moore. They walked away with a 12-8 victory over the Hornets.

Ryder Simon and Isaac Incinelli were a major factor no matter where they played. Throwing, Simon struck out six batters over four innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Meanwhile, Incinelli pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Those six strikeouts gave Simon a new career-high. At bat, Simon went 1-for-5 with one triple and two RBI, while Incinelli scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in five of his six plate appearances. Incinelli also put up a home run, which was his first of the season.
In other pitching news, Jackson Freyer looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit any time he's pitched this season.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Skyler Jersey, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Hayden Montanez, who scored three runs while going 3-for-5.
Winter Park kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Lakeland Christian faced Calvary Christian in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Lakeland Christian came out on top against Calvary Christian by a score of 2-1 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).
Fin Donay spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up six Ks.
On the hitting side, Lakeland Christian's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Levi Howell, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI.
Lakeland Christian is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. Winter Park pushed their record up to 15-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
