Basketball Recap: Hardin Valley Academy Comes Up Short

Hardin Valley Academy lost against Bearden back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hardin Valley Academy Hawks lost 71-47 to the Bearden Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 58th, while the Bulldogs are ranked sixth).

Hardin Valley Academy's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Bearden, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-3.

Hardin Valley Academy will challenge Maryville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bearden has already played their next game (against West), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
