Volleyball Game Preview: Ridgeview Mustangs vs. Heyworth Hornets

Ridgeview is 1-9 against Heyworth since October of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Mustangs will square off against the Hornets at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with five losses in a row, Ridgeview turned things around against Tri-Point on Saturday. They came out on top against the Chargers by a score of 2-0.

Meanwhile, Heyworth was able to grind out a solid win over Cornerstone Christian on Monday, taking the game 2-0.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Heyworth was: they took both sets by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-14.

Ridgeview's victory bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Heyworth, their win bumped their record up to 15-3.

Ridgeview couldn't quite get it done against Heyworth in their previous matchup back in September of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
