Baseball Recap: Meadowbrook Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Meadowbrook's offense. They lost 15-0 to the Matoaca Warriors on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 back in April.

Meadowbrook saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jariel Velasquez-Quezada, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

Meadowbrook has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Matoaca, their victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-4.

While Meadowbrook had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
