Exeter and Pinkerton are an even 4-4 against one another since May of 2016, but likely not for long. The Blue Hawks will take on the Astros on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Exeter sitting on three straight wins and Pinkerton on 31 (dating back to last season).

Exeter is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. Everything went their way against Trinity as they made off with a 16-8 victory. The result was nothing new for the Blue Hawks, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Pinkerton faced Bishop Guertin in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Astros came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cardinals, sneaking past 3-2. Three seems to be a good number for the Astros as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Pinkerton's victory bumped their record up to 20-0. As for Exeter, their win bumped their record up to 16-6.

Exeter couldn't quite finish off Pinkerton in their previous meeting back in May and fell 3-1. Can the Blue Hawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
