Eastern won the last time they faced Bethel-Tate and things went their way on Saturday too. The Warriors walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Tigers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.
Averi Tabor made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 16 batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). Tabor was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Maddison Simpson, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one double.
Eastern hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bethel-Tate struck out 18 times.
Eastern's record is now 2-0. As for Bethel-Tate, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

As for Bethel-Tate, they will take on Blanchester at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The contest will give the Tigers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
