Baseball Recap: Valley Catholic Valiants vs. Horizon Christian Hawks
Valley Catholic lost against Horizon Christian on April 9th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Valiants came up short against the Hawks, falling 10-3. The Valiants have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Brandon Yee was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Trevor Yee made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Another player making a difference was Will Erickson, who went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
Valley Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 7-10-1. As for Horizon Christian, they pushed their record up to 10-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home.
