After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Canyon Crest Academy, Classical Academy was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Madison Warhawks 15-14. With that win, the Caimans brought their scoring average up to 6.6 runs per game.

Sophie Subka was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Kalia Gonzalez was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Classical Academy pushed their record up to 6-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games. As for Madison, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Classical Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Guajome Park Academy at 3:00 p.m. on the 21st. As for Madison, they will venture away from home to take on Foothills Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
