Basketball Recap: Chaska Takes a Loss

Chaska suffered their biggest defeat since February 9, 2024 on Saturday. They lost 82-59 to the Shakopee Sabers. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 51st, while the Sabers are ranked fifth).

Chaska's loss dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Shakopee, the victory (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 22-6.

Chaska does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Shakopee, they will take on Prior Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Shakopee's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
