Huntley proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a goal and slipped past the McHenry Warriors 2-1. Huntley haven't had any issues with McHenry recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Cody Hammer and Tyler Murray scored both of Huntley's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 13 goals.

Huntley's victory bumped their record up to 11-1-2. As for McHenry, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-5-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Huntley will head out to take on Barrington at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Barrington's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for McHenry, they are taking a road trip to challenge Crystal Lake Central at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
