Soccer Recap: Natomas Comes Up Short

After soaring to seven goals the game before, Natomas was a bit more limited in their contest on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Rio Linda Knights by a score of 2-1. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Nighthawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in December of 2024.

Their goal came courtesy of Dylan May-Lopez, which was the first he's scored this season.

Natomas' loss dropped their record down to 5-4-1. As for Rio Linda, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-6-2.

Natomas didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Casa Roble on the 20th. Rio Linda has also already played their next matchup, a 1-1 draw against Woodland on the 20th.
