Basketball Recap: Mojave's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Mojave needed a changed in momentum after dropping three straight games and they got it from C.J. Shaw. The Mojave Rattlers walked away with a 71-62 win over the Centennial Bulldogs on Thursday thanks in part to Shaw, who went 11 for 19 on his way to 29 points along with eight boards and three steals. The match was his 15th in a row with at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Zacarrion Jackson, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played.

Mojave's victory bumped their record up to 13-9. As for Centennial, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 20-3.

Mojave wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 75-27 win against Cheyenne on the 31st. As for Centennial, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Spring Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Centennial is facing Spring Valley at the right time seeing as Spring Valley is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
