Baseball Game Preview: Del Campo Cougars vs. Roseville Tigers

For the second straight game, Del Campo will face off against Roseville. The Cougars will be playing at home against the Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Del Campo has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Roseville will arrive with five straight wins.

It was a proper cat-fight when Del Campo duked it out with Roseville on Thursday. The Cougars came up short against the Tigers, falling 12-2.

For Roseville's part, Santiago Barbonier looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Barbonier has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, John Vicente lll was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Susnara, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Roseville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .606. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Roseville's victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Del Campo, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9-1.
