Basketball Game Preview: Ira Bulldogs vs. Westbrook Wildcats

Ira hasn't had much luck against Westbrook recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Ira Bulldogs are taking a road trip to take on the Westbrook Wildcats at 3:15 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Ira comes in on five and Westbrook on 22.

Last Friday, Ira earned a 46-35 victory over Roby.

Meanwhile, Westbrook didn't have too much trouble with Valley on Saturday as they won 53-34. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 78th, while the Patriots are ranked 241st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ira's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-8. As for Westbrook, their victory bumped their record up to 22-0.

Ira took a serious blow against Westbrook when the teams last played back in January, falling 70-14. Can Ira avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
