Basketball Recap: Leonia Comes Up Short

After flying high against Bogota last Saturday, Leonia came back down to earth. The Leonia Lions lost 60-35 to the Emerson Cavaliers on Friday. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cavaliers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

Leonia's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Emerson, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Leonia Lions face off against the Palisades Park Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Emerson, they will face off against Dumont at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
