Soccer Recap: Croatan Takes a Loss

Croatan fought the good fight in their overtime match against Swansboro on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 4-2 to the Pirates. Croatan just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Tyler Thorpe and Landon Morton scored both of Croatan's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

Croatan's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12-2. As for Swansboro, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-12.

Croatan didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against West Carteret on the 23rd. As for Swansboro, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Northside - Jacksonville on the 23rd.
