Softball Recap: Weber Warriors vs. Riverton Silverwolves

Weber had lost four straight on the road, but on Saturday they dropped their record down to 3-11 to make it five. They came up short against the Riverton Silverwolves, falling 15-0. The Warriors were not able to make up for their defeat to the Silverwolves from their previous meeting back in May of 2022.

As for Riverton, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-1. The result was nothing new for the Silverwolves, who have now won 12 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

For Riverton's part, Lindsey Strieby looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Strieby has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Maggie Hamblin was incredible, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 2-for-2. She continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. Baylee Martinez was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Coming up, Weber will be taking part in a tournament against Westlake at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Riverton, they will take on Box Elder in a tournament on Saturday.
