Football Game Preview: Heritage Generals vs. Adairsville Tigers + Official Tickets

The Heritage Generals will head out on the road to take on the Adairsville Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Heritage's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Calhoun on Friday. They took a blow against the Yellow Jackets, falling 35-0. While losing is never fun, the Generals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 149th, while the Yellow Jackets are ranked 41st).

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Adairsville duked it out with Gilmer on Friday. The Tigers took a 28-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bobcats.

Heritage will have to contain Braxton Elrod as he made an impact in Adairsville's last game. He rushed for 69 yards and one TD, and also threw for 135 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Adairsville now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Heritage, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-3.

Heritage was able to grind out a solid victory over Adairsville in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, winning 17-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Generals since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
