Softball Recap: Hillsboro/Central Valley's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak on the Road

The third road match was the charm for Hillsboro/Central Valley, as they earned their first away win of the season. They came out on top against the Grand Forks Central Knights by a score of 6-3 on Monday. That's two games straight that the H-CV Burros have won by exactly three runs.

Kyah Chenault spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on nine hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Kailee Kittelson was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Quam, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Kittelson wasn't the only one making solid contact: Hillsboro/Central Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. The H-CV Burros are 2-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
