Benson is 8-2 against Morenci since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Bobcats will welcome the Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. Benson has given up an average of 6.8 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Friday just wasn't the day for Benson's offense. They came up short against ALA - West Foothills on Friday, falling 13-0.

Meanwhile, Morenci waltzed into their game on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against the Eagles as they made off with a 14-8 victory.

The team relied heavily on Shane Seballos, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and three RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Christopher Carbrajal, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Morenci kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.6 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 9.2.

Morenci's win bumped their record up to 12-13. As for Benson, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-11-1.

Benson was able to grind out a solid victory over Morenci in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 9-5. Will the Bobcats repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
