Soccer Game Preview: Ocean Lakes vs. Cox

Ocean Lakes is 1-9 against Cox since May of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Dolphins will head out on the road to take on the Falcons at 5:15 p.m. Ocean Lakes' last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Ocean Lakes is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Princess Anne on Tuesday. The Dolphins and the Cavaliers finished up their matchup with a 2-2 draw.

Meanwhile, Cox didn't have quite enough to beat Kellam on Tuesday and fell 3-2. While losing is never fun, Cox can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 70th, while Kellam are ranked fifth).

Cox's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1-2 and their overall record down to 2-2-5. Ocean Lakes' draw makes their record 7-2-1 this season.
