Softball Game Preview: Williston-Elko Blue Devils vs. Ridge Spring-Monetta Trojans

Williston-Elko is 2-8 against Ridge Spring-Monetta since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Williston-Elko Blue Devils will be playing in front of their home fans against the Ridge Spring-Monetta Trojans at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Williston-Elko has four straight victories, Ridge Spring-Monetta has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

While Williston-Elko's win against Jefferson Davis Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Williston-Elko skirted past Jefferson Davis Academy 11-10.

Meanwhile, Ridge Spring-Monetta scored the most runs they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Batesburg-Leesville.

Ridge Spring-Monetta's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Williston-Elko, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-0.
