Volleyball Recap: Salem Wildcats vs. Columbia Eagles
Salem lost against Columbia back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wildcats took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-17.
Paelynn Harris paced Salem's offense, picking up four kills. Harris were helped by Quinn Wolfe and Lauren Brubaker, who contributed three assists each.
Salem's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Columbia, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
Looking ahead, Salem will head out to challenge Breese Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Columbia, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Bloomington on the 5th.
