It was a Battle of the Birds when Como-Pickton took on Yantis on Tuesday. The Eagles put the hurt on the Owls with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Owls recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

One reason for the win was Como-Pickton's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-14, 25-8.

Como-Pickton's victory bumped their record up to 26-11. As for Yantis, they dropped their record down to 1-17 with the defeat, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Como-Pickton will challenge rival North Hopkins at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Yantis is set to take on their familiar foe Fruitvale at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
