Football Game Preview: West Seneca West Warhawks vs. West Seneca East Trojans

A classic East v. West matchup is on the schedule. The West Seneca West Warhawks are taking a road trip to face off against the West Seneca East Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Seneca West's defense has only allowed 14 points per game this season, so West Seneca East's offense will have their work cut out for them.

On Friday, West Seneca West humbled Lockport with a 34-6 victory. Given the Warhawks' advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 130th, while the Lions are ranked 345th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, West Seneca East came up short against Williamsville South on Friday and fell 21-14. The loss continues a trend for the Trojans in their meetings with the Billies: they've now lost five in a row.

West Seneca West's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.7 points over those games. As for West Seneca East, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 6-1.

Everything went West Seneca West's way against West Seneca East in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as West Seneca West made off with a 38-14 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warhawks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
