Volleyball Recap: Calexico Takes a Loss

Calexico was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Holtville Vikings. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-21, 25-14.

JOHANNA GALLEGO paced Calexico's offense, picking up nine kills. GALLEGO were helped by ANDREA AGUILAR and JAZIELY SALAIS, who contributed six assists each.

Calexico's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Holtville, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Calexico will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Southwest EC at 6:00 p.m. Holtville has already played their next contest (against Calipatria), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
